Abuja - Former Minister of state for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro could be extradited from the United States of America if the Federal Government follows due process, according to the U.S. Justice Department, Vanguard reports.
Obanikoro in a blistering retort had chided the government after operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invaded his Ikoyi, Lagos home and seized cars and other valuables.
The former minister had said he was ready to be extradited from the US if really the government had anything against him.
An official at the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Peter Carr said the former minister’s extradition from the U.S. was possible provided the Federal Government did the needful.
Following the raid of his Lagos residences by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has dared the anti-graft agency to make public its findings.
News24 reported that the two homes raided were the former Minister’s private residence at Park View Estate and the house near Banana Island where his two sons, Jide and Gbolahan live with their families.
