Obasanjo lashes out at governors over council operations

12 October 2016, 06:24

Abuja - Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has claimed that the lack of compassion exhibited by some governors is due to poor operations and developments within their local governments.

According to a Naij report, Obasanjo described governors as the "greatest obstacles" to thriving local governments within the country.

Obasanjo lambasted governors for allegedly stealing council funds under the pretext of development projects or saying that they utilized the money on local government progression.
