'Obasanjo must name cabals'

30 September 2016, 11:42

Abuja - Prominent lawyer, Wole Olanipekun, has challenged former president, Olusegun Obasanjo to mention the cabal he said bought some of the nation’s assets which were sold in the previous administrations, Vanguard reports.

Obasanjo had supported the sale of some national assets but had also cautioned the federal government against selling them to the same cabal who bought some assets during previous administrations.

Olanipekun reacting to Obasanjo’s claims on Thursday, September 29, said Obasanjo as a former president knows so much.

Speaking at the commissioning of the vice chancellor’s lodge which he and his wife donated to Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, the senior lawyer called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to stop blaming the unimpressive economic crisis on previous administration.

He said the administration should justify the mandate Nigerians gave him in the last election by alleviating the sufferings being experienced by the people.
