Ogun announces death of Dinah Lambo

21 March 2016, 19:01Tony Smart

Ogun -  The Ogun State Government has announced the death of Dinah Vivian Lambo (nee Adams) matriarch of the Thomas Adeoye Lambo family.

The late Lambo who died on Saturday, March 19, 2016, aged 93, was the widow of late Professor Thomas Adeoye Lambo, Africa's first Professor of Psychiatry and former Director general of the World Health Organization, WHO, who was an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, while commiserating with the family, also thanked God for the life of Lambo who he described as "a virtuous, resourceful and committed ally of her late husband."

The governor added that although she will be sorely missed, the late Lambo lived a life worthy of emulation and should therefore be celebrated even in death.
