Abuja - The Oronna Ilaro Festival, one of the
country’s prominent ecotourism fiestas, has begun.
Endorsed by the Federal Government, the festival
commenced with a Road Show around the town of Ilaro Yewa and other Yewa
communities in the Ogun State environ on Sunday.
The weeklong festival will culminate in a grand finale on
Saturday at the Empire Field Ilaro- Yewa with Senator Ibikunle Amosun, where
Governor Ibikunle Amosun will be the Guest of Honour.

Business and political leaders are scheduled to attend.
“As in last year, sons and daughters of Ilaro
and Yewaland in Diaspora as well as other foreign tourists from United Kingdom,
USA and Barbados with cultural origin traceable to Ilaro-Yewa are participating
in the festival geared toward eco-tourism,” said Kayode Odunaro, Chairman of
the Oronna Ilaro Festival Central Planning Committee.
