25 February 2016, 13:11

Yola - One person was killed when an explosion suspected to be from a bomb occurred at the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters, in Yola, Adamawa State.

This attack is coming barely a month after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb that killed 40 people in the state.

It was gathered that 4 under-aged children were given the explosive to drop at a specific place in Bachure suburb village, which is mainly occupied by retired soldiers.

Two of the under aged children, who are now in police custody confessed that an unknown person gave them the device to drop at the target after paying them N2 500.

The explosion affected the state headquarters of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) as its intelligence officers were quickly drafted to the scene.
