Benin City - Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state has said more members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be arrested and prosecuted if they continue to go against the law, reports The Nation.
The governor said nobody is exempted from prosecution under his administration.
He said this during a meeting with youths from Ovia North East local government area at the Government House in Benin, in reaction to threats by the leadership of the PDP in the state that its members would stage a protest over the arrest of 13 youths the party claimed were its members.
Oshiomhole, who was responding to threats by the PDP in the state to carry out mass protest over the arrest of 13 of its members, said no one has the right to behave like an emperor.
He said the PDP members were charged to court to show that the state was not a banana republic according to Naij.
He said it was ridiculous for the PDP members to boast that nothing would happen when they break the law and attack a member of his cabinet.
