Jalingo - President Muhammadu Buhari efforts of ending the herdsmen bloodshed will prove to be difficult after renewed attacks.
According to All Africa, six people were killed, yesterday, when suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked Korum, Orawua and Gidan Bature communities in Gasol Local Government Council of Taraba State.
Last month Buhari, broke his silence over the violence after Nigerians pleaded with the President to take action, after numerous reports of herdsmen killing, raping and kidnapping citizens. They have also been accused of driving communities of their land and stealing cattle.
The poor response from the Federal government and security forces has worsened tensions among Nigeria's diverse ethno-religious groups. This has angered nomadic Fulani pastoralists who have over the years grazed their animals through indigenous communities reported Vanguard.
