Abuja - The Joint Military Task Force (JMTF) in Imo State has reportedly killed five militants belonging to Red Scorpion, which operates in oil bearing communities within the state.
According to a Naij report, the militants are believed to have been killed on Monday, September 5, after operatives stormed the affected areas over the weekend.

Confirming the presence of security operatives within the affected communities, State Police PR Officer DSP Andrew Enwerem stated that security teams have remained fixed in order to quell panic and crisis, Sun News Online reports.
The development follows on from a directive given by President Muhammadu Buhari, in which he urged military personnel to eradicate militant activity and force militants to halt their operations.
