Pastor confesses to raping 13 year-old girl during 'deliverance'

Nasarawa - A 46 year-old pastor, Ifeanyi Bernard, has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police command on Monday for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in the Karu Local Government Area of the state, Punch reports.

The alleged rape was said to have taken place when the pastor was conducting a deliverance session for the victim.

The Commissioner of Police, Sani Mohammed, said the suspect was apprehended following a report by the father of the victim, Martins Ijiwo to the police.

The cleric, who lives in the Alikima Mararaba area of the state, was said to have lured the victim into his house under the pretext of casting out demons from her.

The police boss said the cleric allegedly pushed her to his bed and raped her repeatedly.

Bottles of anointing oil as well as a bedspread were recovered from the suspect’s home after the policemen stormed his residence.
