Abuja - Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan has been caught trying to withdraw the sum of $5million from her account frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former First Lady according to Punch made the move to withdraw the huge sum from her frozen account during the week.
A source within the EFCC revealed that the transaction, which was initiated at Skye Bank Plc, was stopped by officials.

The source said the commission was informed by the Bank that Patience had placed a standing order for $5m to be withdrawn from the account but it was stopped.
The account has been implicated in an alleged fraud case that has been set before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
The former First Lady has hit back at the EFCC, however, filing a lawsuit against the anti-graft agency for having her account frozen over the matter.
