01 November 2016, 20:26

Abuja - The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the killing of soldiers and some civilians by the Boko Haram sect in Borno State this past weekend.

Several people, including five soldiers, were killed after the terrorists ambushed the troops in Maiduguri.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, denounced the attacks as unfortunate and barbaric.

He commended the special operation unit of the military, ‘Operation Lafia Dole’ for its courage and commitment to security of lives and property in the North-East irrespective of threat to life of their officers and men in the line of duty.
