Maiduguri - Another top officer in the Nigerian Army Lt Col O Umusu has been killed by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
Lt Col O Umusu of CO 118 TF Bn was killed by Boko Haram yesterday, according to Leaders NG.
This is the fourth lieutenant colonel the army is losing in two months, after Boko Haram militants killed Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali, who recaptured the Baga town of Borno state from the Islamist sect in 2015, News24 reported.

O. Umusu, a Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer, 118 Task Force Battalion in Borno State, was killed alongside his security details, by an Improvised Explosive Device in an ambush Monday evening.
Military insiders said the officer and his men were returning from Maiduguri to their location towards Baga. The incident happened between Sari and Gudumbali, reports Premium Times.
