PHOTOS: Fayose's 'silly attempt' to fool Nigerians

16 April 2016, 07:00

Abuja – Nigerians have lashed out at the Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose after pictures of him supposedly addressing investors in China emerged on social media.

The pictures showed Fayose standing at a podium and delivering a speech to business people in China.

A closer look at the pictures, however, revealed that Fayose was actually at a train terminal and not a lecture hall.

The supposed audience were seen looking at different directions while some were on their feet walking around.

Many described it as a "silly attempt" by Fayose to "fool Nigerians", Naij said.

According to NewsBreak, Lere Olayinka, Fayose’s media aide, had said in a statement that Fayose spoke to the businessmen at China’s capital. He said that Fayose would push further his protest against China’s granting of a $2.1bn loan to Nigeria.

See below, some of the reaction on Social media.
