PHOTOS: Hundreds rehearse for anti-fuel hike protest

18 May 2016, 06:37

Abuja - Images have surfaced of members of the Joint Action Front (JAF) practicing for today's impending protest action following an announcement made by the Federal Government about the removal of the fuel subsidy and a hike in the pump price of fuel.

According to a Naij report, the JAF was one of the first group's to condemn the increase in fuel prices and as such, will be joined by various pro-labour unions in a protest that might have crippling effects on the country.

Pro-labour groups have urged workers and ordinary Nigerians alike to join in the industrial action, with both the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) deciding to stage a joint protest today despite a court ruling against barring the action.

See pictures below of the JAF's rehearsal that took place on Tuesday.
