Lagos - Nigerians residing along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway came out with their containers to scoop some fuel as a fuel tanker fell on the road and spilled its content Thursday morning.
The tanker collided with a truck conveying diesel at Aseese in Ogun State with fuel gushing out from the petrol tanker leading to traffic gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Many motorists and petrol tankers have been trapped in the gridlock as soldiers, policemen, road-safety and fire officials are currently diverting vehicles from the expressway to bush paths to avoid casualties.
