PHOTOS: Troops kill two terrorists in Borno villages

Abuja - Troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole have killed two suspected Boko Haram terrorists during operations to rid Borno State of the insurgents.

The operations cleared remnants of terrorists hibernating around Ladin Buta and Juwano villages in Jere Local Government Area.

Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said the clearance patrol team came into contact with some remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hibernating in the area.

Troops engaged the group which was believed to be terrorising the residents through wanton killings, kidnappings and armed robberies.

Some suspects escaped with gunshot wounds.

Usman said that the patrol team also recovered two AK-47 rifles with magazine, two fabricated 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, two mobile telephone handsets and torchlight from the suspected terrorists.
