Lagos - The father of the embattled Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has pleaded with the Federal Government to release his son.
Speaking during an interview with Punch, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu insisted that his son did not commit any crime, adding that the Federal government should conduct a plebiscite to establish the feelings of the people in Biafra.
"I can’t advise the Federal Government but I plead with them to please free my son," Kanu’s father was quoted as saying.
Kanu has remained in detention over treason and ancillary charges.
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was arrested last year in October.
