He said that the arrests were made on the 25th of March, after police found evidence of one of the suspects selling a 17-month-old baby from Imo State for N200,000.
Mohammed added that the same suspect was believed to have also previously sold a 14-month-old baby, from Benue, to another woman for N80,000.
Both babies have since been recovered, with the identity of the mother of one child being confirmed, while efforts are still being made by police to identify the second child's mother.
