Police deny arraigning Biafra agitators half-naked

Rivers - The Rivers State Police Command has debunked claims by some online publications that the 10 pro-Biafra protesters were arraigned half naked in court, PM news reports.

The police said the photographs displayed in the online publications were false as the agitators were not paraded naked.

DSP Ahmad Muhammad, Police Public Relations, PPRO, said that the pictures displayed along the news item did not emanate from the Command as the the Rivers State Police is a responsible agency.

He described the publication as malicious and inept journalism while enjoining members of the public to disregard and discountenance the pictures.

It would be recalled that the Command has on Wednesday January 20, 2015, arraigned 10 pro-Biafrans before magistrate courts 7 and 14 in Port Harcourt on two charge of criminal conspiracy and treasonable felony.
