Pregnant woman found dead aboard Arik Air flight

Abuja - A female passenger was found dead aboard an Arik Air flight on Friday following the docking of the plane in Lagos, Punch reports.

Accompanied by her husband and cousin, the woman was said to have been pregnant.

According to a statement released by Adebanji Ola, PR and Communications Officer for Arik Air, the woman was confirmed dead on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The cause of her death has not yet been ascertained.

Jospeh Alabi, an official of the Lagos Airport Police Command, disclosed that the woman has developed complications aboard the flight and was swiftly attended to by medical personnel.

The development follows just 48 hours after a middle-aged woman was found dead in the toilet of a separate plane belonging to the carrier.
