Lagos – According to Femi Adesina, the Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, the former administration of Goodluck Jonathan met with fake leaders of Boko Haram who defrauded them during negotiations about the release of the girls abducted in Chibok.
Punch reported that Adesina spoke on a Radio Continental 102.3FM program claiming that that the fake Boko Haram leaders made arrangements with the Jonathan government that they would free the Chibok schoolgirls if certain payments were made, but even after they were paid millions, nothing happened as the government were swindled by the fraudsters.

Adesina also said that the Buhari administration are now approaching negotiations with Boko Haram with caution and that the authenticity of the leaders will need to be ascertained before Buhari will engage in discussions with them.
