Probe OBJ, Jonathan - Waku advises PMB

14 September 2016, 07:28

Abuja - Senator Joseph Waku has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan to prove that they did not inherit anything from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) after 16 years of governance, Naij reports.

Waku's sentiments follow on from claims put forward by President Buhari stating that he did not receive any gains from the previous administrations.

The statement was met with much repugnance from opposition members, who claimed that Buhari was attempting to reverse the achievements of the PDP within 15 months of becoming the country's leader and allegedly throwing Nigeria into a recession.

Waku has since hit back at Buhari's critics, urging him to back up his comments by probing the administrations of the two previous Presidents.

According to Waku, Obasanjo introduced corruption into the country, while stating that the PDP had managed to destroy Nigeria within the 16 years that they were in power.
