Abuja - Ohanaeze Youth Council, the Enugu
organisation, is beset by internal problems that have culminated in calls for
the suspension of its leadership over an alleged plethora of crimes.
The group has recommended the suspension of President
Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary, Okwu Nnabuike Emmanuel and the Assistant
Treasurer, Kingley Chidozie.
There has been a recommendation to banish Chika Nzelu,
Chuks Ibegbu, Ogbonnaya Obasi and Thompson Ohia for ten years.
A lack of accountability in the funds of the organisation
since August 2014, has been alleged while Isiguzoro and Emmanuel are accused of
personalizing the organisation’s buses.

It is alleged the President, the National Secretary, and
the Assistant National Treasurer Kingsley gave one John Nwobiala an award
as the Igbo Man of the Year 2015 without consulting the organisation while the
Secretary has confiscated a laptop donated to the body by a well wisher.
Emmanuel is said to have consistently shown lack of
capacity in his duties by not keeping records of the proceedings of meetings.
The President and Secretary have allegedly been making
withdrawals without consent of the organisation.

Amid such findings, Ohanaeze Youth Council has
recommended that Deputy President, Arthur Obiora, should take over the
leadership of the organisation, while the Assistant Secretary, Stanley Nwaka
steps in as Secretary.
