Abuja - The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has alerted members of the public to the activities of unscrupulous persons defrauding citizens through fake appointment letters.
Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, said a copy of such a letter, supposedly signed by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, was brought forward by one Nkwor Ifechukwude who believed he had been offered appointment as an officer in the NAF.
Famuyiwa said more so, the NAF of recent had been receiving calls from members of the public making inquiries about a supposed replacement scheme to recruit people into the service.

“It is pertinent to state that these appointment letters do no emanate from the NAF and the Service is not in the process of conducting any recruitment exercise at the moment,” said Famuyiwa.
The general public has thus been advised not to have any dealings with anybody on behalf of the NAF.
