Abuja - The Federal Road Safety Corps has stated that by
introducing railway transport it would be a way of ensuring that road crashes
are reduced, Punch reported.
Corps Marshall, Boboye Oyeyemi, has stated that a functional
road system would mean less lives lost on the roads of Nigeria.
Car crashes on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway have been reduced
significantly since the inauguration of the light rail in July 2016.

Oyeyemi was speaking at the press briefing of the Sallah
special patrol and commencement of enforcement of speed limiting device in
Federal Government is planning to invest in rail transport
across the country.
