President Muhammadu Buhari had on Saturday announced the fall of ‘camp zero’, after receiving security reports from the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.
According to the spokesman for the President, Femi Adesina, while speaking on Channels Television said the presidency thinks there are chances the girls were not held in the forest after all.
“You know last stand of Boko Haram insurgents was within Sambisa forest which they had occupied for some time.
“It is likely the girls had been spirited out and hidden away in different parts either within or outside the country”.
Adesina was, however, silent on what efforts would be made to free the remaining girls.
