07 January 2016, 08:31

Abuja - A Lagos State Government Tribunal has submitted its report into circumstances surrounding the death of Alhaji Tajudeen Disu, Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited.

The tribunal, set up to look into the cause of the crisis surrounding Disu's alleged killing, is reported to have received 22 memoranda and 33 witness statements in connection with the case, Punch reports.

While submitting the report to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday, Tribunal Chairman Justice Adesuyi Olateru-Olagbegi, disclosed that the group made several visits to Lekki Free Trade Zone, where Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited is situated.

The probe follows the death of Disu during a riot that allegedly broke out between police officials and members of the Okunraye community in Lekki.

Governor Ambode has since promised to give the report prompt consideration, thanking members of the Tribunal for carrying out the investigation and submitting the report in a timeous fashion.
