Abuja - Zenith Bank has disclosed how Governor Ayodele Fayose begged it on numerous occasions to save him financially as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was bearing down on him, Naij reports.
The bank also denied that it financed Fayose's campaign, saying instead that it only handled money from the office of the National Security Advisor.

Zenith Bank revealed that Fayose last week begged it to not share any of his personal banking details with the EFCC, using the smokescreen of his constitutional immunity as a reason to withhold the information.
Meawhile, Fayose has defiantly come out and attacked those persecuting him, with News24 Nigeria reporting that he has described Femi Falana as a mischievous lawyer who has his self-interests at heart.
He shared these strongly worded comments after human rights lawyer, Falana said it was not unconstitutional to prosecute Fayose, who is a sitting Governor.
