Port Harcourt - Dr Austin Tam-George, Rivers
Commissioner for Information and Communications, on Thursday commended
the Supreme Court for upholding the victory of Gov. Nyesom Wike in the
2015 governorship election.
Tam-George, who spoke to newsmen in Port Harcourt, said:
“The Supreme Court judgment has not only ended the festering legal
tussle over the soul of the state, but has justified that sovereignty
belongs to the people."
The commissioner also commended the courage of the people for upholding the mandate and democratic liberty of the state.

Tam-George also stated that the uncompleted projects of the
previous administration would be completed by the present
The commissioner further said that government would partner the security agencies to protect lives and property in the state.
"The Wike led administration will always engage the people of the
state in town hall meetings to tell the people what the government will
do for them."
"We will also hear from the people what they want from the government,” he said.
