Rivers to celebrate Supreme Court ruling

Abuja - ?The Rivers State Chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has invited members of the public to attend a major event celebrating the Supreme's Court ruling on the governorship election.

The Thanksgiving and Victory Celebrations are scheduled for Saturday.

The festivities are planned for the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, formerly the Liberation Stadium in Elekahia, Port Harcourt.

Presiding Pastor of the Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, will deliver the thanksgiving.

Rivers PDP Chairman, Felix Obuah, said the event marked the success of Governnor Nyesom Wike as confirmed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Wike, PDP State Governors and their Deputies, PDP State and National lawmakers, National and State leadership of the PDP, among others will attend.

"The PDP Chairman, Bro Obuah, appeals to all Rivers people to join the party and thank God and celebrate the victory of the Party at the Supreme Court," Obuah's spokesperson, Jerry Needam, said
