SAD! 20-year-old girl who lives inside a bowl dies in Kano

Kano - 20-year-old Rahma Haruna, who lives inside a bowl in Kano is reported dead.

She died on Sunday, December 25.

Special Assistant to the Governor of Bauchi State on Communications, Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar took to his Facebook handle on Monday, December 26, to share this news saying: “Rest in peace Rahma Haruna.”

Rahma has lived inside the bowl all her life and it was reported that about six months ago, her limbs stopped developing.

Her story went viral in January when her pictures, carried by her 10-year-old brother in a bowl, drew sympathy and attracted a lot of donations in cash, clothes, foodstuffs, wheelchair, among others.

Born in Lahadin Makole village in Kano, Rahma, who barely had any limb, suffered stunted growth of torso and lived on receiving alms to feed herself and assist her parents.
