Abuja - Senate President, Bukola Saraki's motion to
disqualify the judge handling his case has been dismissed by the Code of
Conduct Tribunal in Abuja, Punch reported.
Saraki is being prosecuted by the Federal Government for 13
counts of false asset declaration when he had served as Kwara State Governor
between 2003 and 2011.

Saraki had asked Judge Danladi Umar to disqualify himself
because he found that he was being biased in the way the trial was being
He further argued that Umar was being controlled and
influenced by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission.
Umar stated that the application made by Saraki was lacking
