Abuja - Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami,
has stated that the allege case against the Senate was for public interest,
The Senate forged standing rules and the case was re-opened
by Malami because there was an alleged breach of procedure.

Malami made this known in his appearance before the
Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters in Abuja.
His actions are said to be for the public interest and to
prevent such abuse from happening in office.
When a public inquiry was opened, Malami failed to appear in
court as a result an AGF representative had to take his leave of absence.
