The Senate also noted the unwarranted killing of innocent citizens and urged the security agencies at all levels to provide adequate protection for the citizenry.

The House meanwhile honoured two elder statesmen who passed away recently.

They are Chief Ojo Madueke and Shetima Ali Monguno.

The Senators observed one minute silence in honour of the elder statesmen and resolved to send a delegation to commiserate with the families of the deceased and the government of their respective states.
