Senator Sanni calls Kaduna governor a 'coward'

20 May 2016, 13:05

Kaduna - Senator Shehu Sanni representing Kaduna Senatorial District in the National Assembly has described the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai as a coward for spearheading the calls for his expulsion from the All Progressive Congress (APC), PM News reports.

Sanni came down hard on the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, over threats to expel him following his recent criticisms of President Muhammadu Buhari over the hike in the price of petrol.

Sanni who has been having a running battle with the governor, accused him of being behind the expulsion threat which he likened to “hallucinations of a barely educated ogogoro drinker.”

The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier threatened to expel Sani, for supporting the ongoing strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, reported Premium Times.

The APC’s Publicity Secretary, Salisu Wusono, made this known in Kaduna on Thursday, saying the party was disappointed by the conduct of the senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District.

Wusono argued that the action of Sani, goes against the will of the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari.
