SERAP is alleged to have conducted independent investigations into the World Bank's 700-page document on the Abacha loot, revealing that there may be more information that is not being brought to the fore.

According to SERAP, the organization filed its appeal in the hope that the Access to Information Appeals Board will push the World Bank to disclose specific information and feedback from the World Bank Evaluation Team on the issues.
