Shock as Jonathan linked to N100 million election fund scam

29 August 2016, 07:29

Lagos - Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olu Falae has sensationally submitted e-mail correspondence to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission linking former President Goodluck Jonathan to a N100 million election funds scam, Punch reports.

Falae submitted the e-mail correspondence between himself and a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party's Board of Trustees, Tony Anenih.

In the correspondence between the two men it is gathered that Anenih claims to be acting on the instruction of Goodluck Jonathan.

The EFCC confirmed that in the e-mails Anenih disclosed to Falae that N100m had been approved by President Goodluck Jonathan to be handed over to him as part of an agreement between the PDP and SDP.

Falae is clearly shown to be urged to provide an account to which the money could be paid into, with it being later transferred from the account of the Office of the National Security Adviser in the Central Bank of Nigeria.
