Abuja - Days after his acclaimed meeting with the militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), Sports and Youth Development Minister, Solomon Dalung, appears to have run into trouble, reports New Telegraph
President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered a probe into the circumstances surrounding the meeting.
The President wants to know whether or not the minister actually met with the group, and if truly he did, the President wants to know from Dalung who authorised the meeting.
The Sports Minister according to News 24 had claimed to have met with the leadership of the militant group as well as community leaders in Oporoza, Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South West Local Government area of Delta State on Friday.
The leadership of the group, has, however denied meeting the minister.

The group in a statement on Monday by its spokesperson, Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinibo insisted that the minister met with fraudsters.
The group said it can’t stoop so low to send representatives to meet with a common minister of youths that doesn’t know his work.
The group added that it would not be part of any meeting that the International communities are not part to witness,.
The President is said to be unhappy with the comments of the group and has directed the National Security Adviser (NSA) to get to the root of the said meeting.
