SSS arrests ex-NSA, Sambo Dasuki again

01 December 2015, 11:03

Abuja - The State Security Service on Tuesday rearrested a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, reports Premium Times.

Before his arrest on Tuesday, Dasuki had been placed under house arrest for about a month.

The SSS operatives ordered Dasuki out of his residence and drove him away amidst tight security cover.

He was driven to the SSS headquarters in the Asokoro District of Abuja.

Dasuki was first arrested by the SSS in July after a prolonged siege on his Abuja home and later charged to court with illegal possession of arms and money laundering.

A Federal High Court later ordered the SSS to vacate his residence.

Dasuki’s arrest might not be unconnected with the ongoing probe into arms procurement under former President Goodluck Jonathan administration.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the arrest of Dasuki and others involved in the deal.
