Taraba first lady mourns victims of herdmen's violence

Abuja - Anna Darius Ishaku, wife of Taraba Governor, has identified with victims of the renewed attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

She expressed solidarity at the State Specialist Hospital in Jalingo.

Ishaku expressed concern the persistent spate of attacks on residents of communities in Gashaka and Bali Local Government areas of the state.

She also visits the camps housing scores of victims of the attacks.

Ishaku donated various items.

According to reports, 13 persons have recently been killed in various communities in Bali and Donga local government areas.

This comes barely two weeks after deadly attacks in Bornon Kurku around Kungana areas.

Killings were also reported in Anchogo and Tortondo villages.

Property worth millions was lost.

The violence blamed on the Fulani herdsman against villagers has reportedly claimed more than 1 000 lives.
