TB Joshua, SCOAN engineers to be arraigned Feb. 18

09 February 2016, 08:00

Abuja - A Lagos High Court has announced that it has fixed February 18 as the date for the arraignment of the Registered Trustees of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Punch reports.

The defendants, which include founder and pastor TB Joshua, will appear before the court on one count of building without the approval of the Lagos State Government.

The case follows the collapse of the SCOAN church building on September 12, 2014, which led to the deaths of 116 people.

The engineers of the building, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun, are also to be arraigned on 110 counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Disputing the manner in which the charge sheet was served to them, the two engineers had their motion dismissed in court after it was stated that their application lacked merit.

The renewed court date follows TB Joshua's failure to appear in court on October 26, 2015.
