Bayelsa - Rivers State Governor, NyesomWike has been dragged to court by
numerous teachers in Bayelsa over unpaid salaries since February 2016, Punch
According to the teachers, their salaries just stopped being
paid into their bank accounts.

Governor Wike had earlier stated that salaries would stop
being paid at primary and secondary schools' teachers of demonstration schools
of RSUST and other institutions where school pupils pay their own fees.
The teachers have taken the matter to court for not being
paid over five months regardless of some the schools being closed down.
Nigeria Today reports that Wike had stated that a forensic
audit of the state salaries is set to be conducted.
