Tenant ends 7 month pregnancy with kitchen knife

24 January 2016, 10:59

Abuja - A mother of two is currently recuperating following a horrific ordeal in which she was stabbed and left for dead, Vanguard reports.

The victim, Oyinyechi Chinaka, is alleged to have been stabbed by her neighbour after catching him stealing money from her purse.

Chinaka lost her baby following the incident, in which she was stabbed in the stomach, arm and neck with a kitchen knife and left for dead.

Residents in the area discovered the woman lying in a pool of her own blood and swiftly rushed her to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The assailant fled the scene and said nothing of the incident until he was found out by his older brother who then elicited a confession from him.

Ishola Agbodemu, a human rights activist, urged police officials to bring justice to the victim, especially in light of the fact that she lost her baby as a result of the heinous crime.

The suspect has since blamed an evil spirit for his actions.
