Warri - There is palpable tension in some communities in Delta State following the invasion of the communities by soldiers.
The soldiers invaded the communities in search of Niger Delta militants, reports Daily Post.
The communities are Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh in Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of the state.
The invasion is coming at time when there is a renewed crisis between the communities as both communities have continued their feud after a security meeting convened by the Delta State Government failed to settle the disputed land matter between both communities.

Some militants who had threatened to declare “Niger Delta Republic” on October 1 had earmarked Ogbe-Ijoh Community as one of the possible places to launch the declaration.

The militants under the aegis of the Adaka Boro Avengers according to News 24 had said people of the Niger Delta region are tired of President Muhammadu Buhari and his APC misrule.
The militants said they have decided to go and no one can stop them.
