Lagos - Suspected militants have attacked a community in Lagos and abducted 13 farmers, causing serious panic across the eastern part of the state, Eagleonline reports.
The militants dressed in military uniforms reportedly stormed a farm settlement along the Igbodu-Isiwo road in the Epe area of the state.
The identities of some of the victims were given as Oluwatoyosi Aboderin, her sister’s six-month-old baby and another female farmer, Ogechi Maku.
The 20 abductors were said to have struck on Wednesday, November 16, after coming through the river and shooting sporadically.
They left with their victims in a speed boat.
Epe has become a major route for kidnappers.
On different occasions, there had been attacks on communities in the area sometimes stretching up to Ikorodu area of the state according to News24.
