Osogbo - An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court on
Friday remanded, Hammed Wale,22; Remilekun kayode,24; and Jolayemi Babatunde,
24; in Ilesa prison for alleged armed robbery.
The Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, said he remanded them
behind bars because of the magnitude of the offence.
The Prosecutor, ASP Mireti Wilson, had told the court that
the accused persons committed the offence on June 29 at about 2:45 p.m. at
Dagbolu Area, Osogbo.
Wilson said the accused persons conspired among themselves
to attacked Ganiyu Olaoti at gun point by confiscating his Toyota Highlander
Jeep, ABC 987 AR, valued N4.5 million.

He said they also carted away some items to include a gold
chain worth about N150,000 , eight phones at N230,000, and N18,000 cash from
He said the offence contravened sections 6(d) and punishable
under sections 1(1) , 1(2)(a) and 3(1) of the Armed Robbery and Firearm Act cap
R 11 vol.14 of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The pleas of the accused persons were not taken.
The case was adjourned till Nov.4 for mentioned.
