Three bullet proof cars worth N76 million impounded by NCS

19 July 2016, 19:17

Abuja - The Nigerian Customs Service recovered three bullet-proof cars with a Duty Paid Value of N76 million in Lagos State, Vanguard reported.

Area Controller, Victor Dimka, has disclosed that cars have been imported into the country but did not get clearance from the Office of the National Security Adviser.

The NCS has figured that the cars were imported into the country through the intelligence as some already had number plates.

Dimka states "due process must be followed in the importation of bullet proof cars as the individual must aply through the ONSA."

Smugglers have been warned that any further attacks on officers will not be allwoed.

The extent of smuggling has become a problem for the NCS as this detriments the country's economy.
