Tinubu lauded for stabilising democracy

24 February 2016, 21:30

Abuja - The All Progressives Congress in the Delta State has hailed the party’s National Leader, Bola Tinubu, for helping stabilise democracy in the country.

APC Delta leader, Olorogun Otega Emerhor, described him as one of the greatest 21st century democrats.

Emerhor’s sentiments came days after a publication awarded Tinubu an accolade as Man of the Year.

Emrhor said the award was befitting as Tinubu had in the past three decades devoted his life and financial resources towards the struggle for good governance and rule of law in Nigeria.

Emerhor's goodwill message, made available by his Director of Media and Publicity, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, urged leader Tinubu not to relent in his efforts to help rebuild the socioeconomic structures of the nation.

He said history already took cognissance of his achievements in politics.

“APC Delta political family rejoice with our great national leader, Asiwaju Tinubu on the occasion of the prestigious award,” said Oghenesivbe.

Tinubu played a key role in steering APC to power in the last general election in 2015.
