Toddler sold by step-mother in Edo State for ritual

Lagos - A toddler allegedly had her fingers cut and hair shaved so that she could be sold to for N1.5 million for a ritual by her step-mother, Naij reported.

Mother of the victim had left the child in the custody of the woman only told be that her daughter was missing.

Police were called to the scene and the step-mother was arrested.

The victim had disappeared for seven years and had not been found. The court concluded that the toddler was dead.

The woman has been sentenced for 14-years for the offence of stealing a child.

A three-year-old in Ondo State was once beheaded for a ritual by her uncle who was desperate for a job.
